Transfer to Kantu Garden Lodge
Upon arrival in Tarapoto, you will be welcomed by our team and taken on a two-hour ground transfer along the paved Fernando Belaúnde Terry highway, climbing gradually from the river valley up into the cloud forest. The road winds between rice paddies, banana plantations and the first Andean foothills, with one river crossing of the Mayo before reaching Moyobamba. Your arrival at Kantu is the first of many memorable moments of your stay.
What to Bring
Lightweight, breathable clothing for warm days (22–28°C) and a light layer for cool evenings in the cloud forest. Closed walking shoes for the garden and forest paths, sandals for the property, swimwear for the ice baths and pool, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and natural mosquito repellent. We provide eco-friendly soap, shampoo and towels.
Travel Extensions
Many guests pair their stay with a visit to Cusco and Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Arequipa and the Colca Canyon, or the Amazon at Iquitos. Most extensions begin or end with a Lima connection. Tell us your full trip plan in the booking form and we'll help align dates and transfers.
