Kantu Garden Lodge — Moyobamba, Peru

Find the spirit of the Amazon jungle

We are in full nature, in the heart of the Peruvian high Amazon jungle.

A romantic cloud-forest micro-climate.

A place to slow down, eat well, breathe deeply.

Kantu Garden Lodge · Established in 2021

The Land

The river hushes. The forest wakes before us.

We sit at the edge of the Mayo, in a fold of the high jungle that stays cool in the morning and golden by evening.

The Practice

An open-air shala for twenty-one mats.

Wood, light, and the sound of birds. Our shala is the room everything else circles around — the place where the morning begins.

The Garden

From the earth to your plate.

The herbs, the fruit, the flowers — most of what arrives at the kitchen begins here, twenty paces from the door.

About Kantu Garden Lodge

Wake up with the garden — palms, heliconia, birds, and monkeys.

Each bungalow opens onto its own patch of garden — cucardas and king's staff, anthuriums and ginger flowers, bamboo orchids and the parrot's beak heliconias the hummingbirds work all morning. Coffee on the terrace, a swim in the pool, breakfast at your own pace. The day arrives slowly here.

King and queen beds with woven-wood headboards, cedar ceilings, doors and windows, a writing desk in every room. Ground-floor rooms open onto a private terrace, upper-floor rooms onto an exterior balcony, and second-floor doubles include a mezzanine. Private bathrooms in all rooms, solar-heated hot water all day, eco-friendly soap and shampoo, and fibre-optic Wi-Fi throughout. The cloud-forest air stays cool — no AC needed.

Two indoor spaces and an outdoor stone platform — mats, blocks, bolsters, straps and a sound bath kit ready to go. Private classes by arrangement for our guests, and a home to longer programs through the season — 200-hour teacher trainings and week-long retreats.
